The firm is widely respected for its extensive expertise representing major insurers, public bodies and other organisations in relation to motor, public and employer’s liability claims. We have developed particular expertise in all areas of disease work to include exposure to asbestos and noxious chemicals and gases as well as occupational disease and deafness.
Latterly we have been extensively involved in stress claims and in actions involving bullying and harassment. We are also alert to the threat posed by fraudulent claims and we deliver expert advice as to how to investigate and defend such claims.
We conduct a wide range of commercial actions to include banking, commercial property and company/shareholding disputes and litigation arising out of building and construction law, professional negligence and defamation cases. We also have a dedicated unit to deal with debt recovery, corporate recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy.
Our commercial property partners are well equipped to assist in all landlord and tenant actions. In addition we are experienced in conducting professional negligence and defamation actions and we appreciate the sensitivity these matters often demand.
In the field of public law we have mounted successful challenges to public authority decisions by way of judicial review.
